The coque boas are 2 yards (6 ft) long, and approx 6-8" in diameter. This natural boa is made from iridescent bronze coque feathers located on the tail of the Rooster. Coque feathers are more rounded at the top and wider and stiffer than the schlappen feather.

They are dyed black over natural material giving the boa an iridescent shine.



The stripping on the feathers is a unique look that comes from stripping approx 3/4 of the lower part of the feather leaving the beautiful tips.

Coque boas can be cut with wire cutters without unraveling as feathers are sewn onto a nylon cord and cotton-covered wire. This cotton-covered wire helps the boa keep its shape and not come untwisted, which enables it to be used as a "Rental" boa. This product is part of our Fancy Boas category.
