The Schlappen garland is 2 yards (6 ft) long, and approx 6-7" diameter. This natural garland is made from iridescent bronze schlappen feathers located at the base of the tail of the Rooster. Schlappen feathers are soft and flexible, but wider than the saddle feathers, and the stem is thinner than coque feathers giving it more of a drooping effect.
The feathers are dyed black over the natural material giving the boa an iridescent shine.
This garland can be cut without unraveling as feathers are sewn onto a cotton cord.
Also makes a great boa!
